"Maveety Desk"
37" x 66" x 31"
Cherry, maple burl veneer.
Created in 1991, this desk is one of my older "woody"
pieces with a sleek cockpit type feel to it.

"Chicago Desk"
35" x 65" x32"
Walnut, wenge, fiddleback mahogany veneer.

Made a few years after the "Maveety Desk", this piece is still rooted
in a fine woodworking esthetic, yet the feel of the piece is lighter,
more playful and the symmetry of my earlier work is gone.

"Triad Desk" 1999
30" x 36" x 56"
Curly maple, poplar, milk paint.

This desk is an interesting blend of styles. The top being a simple polished form with a woven pattern of veneers, is a result of my fine woodworking experience.  The base, on the other hand has a more raw appearance, indicative of my interest in organic texture and form.

"Knowledge Is Power Desk"
36" x 31" x 63"
Cherry, walnut, scorched pine, milk paint.
A commissioned piece, this desk was designed specifically with the
client's needs and work habits in mind. The title is a reference to
the client's almost exclusive use of the computer in his work.

"Corner Desk"
37" x 32" x 68"
Quilted maple veneer, solid maple, wenge details.
One of my more anthropomorphic desks, this piece was
made in the early 90's

"Writing Desk"
39" x 54" x 33"
Cherry, maple burl veneer, ebony details.

One of my earliest desks, from the mid 1980's, this piece demonstrates my initial esthetic in which the beauty of the wood and the symmetrical organization of space and form was paramount.
